Ankyra: Real Scripture. Every day. Honestly.

Each morning Ankyra offers a verse, a little context about who wrote it and why, one question to think about and a short prayer. The whole Bible is free, always: read, search, highlight, take notes and share verse cards, offline, in public-domain and openly licensed translations across English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French and Japanese.

A “How are you feeling?” screen offers passages for moments like anxiety, loneliness or grief, chosen from a public topical index (OpenBible.info) and checked one by one. When a feeling is heavy, verified crisis lines come first, and those feelings are always free. The prayer journal stays on the phone: prayers, notes, highlights and searches are never uploaded, analyzed or shared.

Ankyra is deliberate about AI: there is no chatbot and no AI art, every verse is real Scripture quoted word for word and never generated, and nothing is written in the voice of God or Jesus. The short reflections were drafted with AI assistance and checked line by line against classic public-domain commentaries, and the app explains this openly in “How we write Ankyra”.

Ankyra is made by Pediaca, LLC, a small independent studio founded by Santiago Gonzalez, an Argentine developer. We build a few focused iPhone apps, each doing one job well, with honest pricing and no dark patterns.

We built Ankyra for people who want a few quiet minutes with Scripture without ads, pressure or a chatbot answering in a confident voice. Being transparent about how the app is written was a requirement from day one.
